I had a family event at Anastasia’s recently and the customer service was fantastic. Costas the owner really looked after us, the food was amazing, great portions and we weren’t hurried out of the door.

I love Greek food and the Meze at Anastasia's really made me feel like I was back in Andros. Very good.

I had a christening event at Anastasias as it’s opposite St Peters church. The day was made even more memorable by the way the staff looked after us. The food was so tasty and reminded me of my time travelling the Greek Islands. We were even allowed to smash some plates. Well worth the bill (which wasn’t as much as i thought it would be).

A group of 20 of us went to this restaurant to celebrate a friends birthday. 12 of us opted for the meze - what a mistake- the food was either cold or warmish but served on cold plates, there was no where near enough food to go round. I had 2 pieces of Hullomi, 2 pieces of calamari, some salad which had been sat in the fridge with its dressing on for hours! Even the pitta bread was cold and hard and not much of that either. For £20 ahead I didn't think thIs was value for money. However we were determined to enjoy the evening so kind of forgot about the food and made the most of the dancing- John Travolta an all!!!

I went to Anastasias restaurant with a group of 8 last night for a family get-together. The food was great. I opted for the Pitta Gemisti as a starter and Giant King Prawns for my main. Way too much food for me to eat. All of my family also loved the food, 3 of them opting for the meze which they couldn’t finish. The entertainment was hilarious, especially the chap who dresses up as Michael Jackson, Tina Turner and the Diet Coke man. I wouldn’t say it’s stars in their eyes, more the bloke has eaten too many pies. The man that was doing the Greek dancing was great fun and I loved the conga idea. There was much laughter, singing and whooping from the whole of the restaurant. This is most definitely the best Greek restaurant in St Albans and probably the whole of Hertfordshire.

I had a lovely anniversary meal at Anastasias. I wasn’t sure about going mid-week to the restaurant as it’s viewed as a party venue. But it couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s a nice quite setting, dim lights and greek music playing in the background. The food really does taste authentic. The Keftedes are wonderful and my husband was certainly enjoying the portion size.

I have just had a superb meal at Anastasias, I went on a Tuesday evening and the Restaurant was delightful. I spent the evening with my family and we all had the meze. The waiter/owner was very helpful and polite and the food was delicious.

I must say I was a little sceptical at first after reading all the mixed reviews.I must say now that I have been to Anastasias, I would definitely go back and the food and service were outstanding. Thank you for a great night.

I couldn't agree more."Fine Greek food in a traditional setting and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere". Had a great night during the week, will be returning.

Anastasia does takeaway - there is a god! I couldn’t join my friends on the hen do so I thought i’d order a takeaway and feel part of the party. It was lovely. I’ve been to the restaurant a couple of times and have really enjoyed it and now I can enjoy the food at home it’s even better. All I need now is the chap who does the entertainment to come over and give us girls a private party.

What a massive let down. I don't live in St Albans but had my heart set on Greek for my birthday celebrations. Because of the entertainment element and when i booked for Friday night I checked if there was entertainment I was told yes belly dancers and plate smashing so i went ahead and booked a table for 9 people at 7.30pm.

It wasn't until about an hour or so into our meal we asked about the entertainment and we were told no entertainment as not enough bookings! They must have known this at the time i booked. I was so upset dragging my friends and family all the way to St Albans for nothing. I wouldn't have minded so much but it was my birthday I felt so let down. the food wasn’t even that great and for 6 adults and 3 small children our bill came to a staggering £300 !!! We had 6 glasses of wine and a few beers so it wasn't as if our bill was mostly alcohol we nearly fell through the floor it was so not worth this money i wish i had just stayed in Luton would never waste my time going to this place again. Went to Anastias last night after not having been there for a couple of years. Had a wonderful night there yet again. The atmosphere is great, the food, as always is lovely and plentiful, and the service is excellent. The music also is great. The staff work very hard to make sure everyone enjoys themselves - I am definitely returning there again soon, and would highly recommend this restaurant, and another thing to mention is that the food, apart from being delicious, is very very reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? Mal

24 of us went to celebrate a colleagues 40th birthday. Very good main meal, food good, portions and the entertainment very good. Everybody joins good atmosphere we are thinking of going here for our Christmas do.
