“Since winning his heat on Stars in Their Eyes in 1994, Rob Lamberti has become one of the hottest acts around! His talent and ambition has led him into some fantastic opportunities and has enabled him to work for some of the music industries best.
Sony employed him to promote George Michael’s ‘Twenty Five' album. Rob has worked for Universal promoting ‘The Eli Stone Show’ where he sang to a stunned crowd in Leicester Square from the balcony of Ruby Blue. Rob lives in the North East and within months of his amazing rendition of 'Faith' on Stars in Their Eyes, the endless phone calls for bookings persuaded him to turn professional.
Rob has now performed all over the world as a solo artist and his performance includes favorites such as Faith, Club Tropicana, Wake Me Up and I'm Your Man - right up to his performance of Outside in his authentic L.A Police uniform!”

St Albans Steam & Country Show
Address: Oaklands College (Smallford campus)
Telephone: 07896 555097
Email chairman@hertssteam-dwh.demon.co.uk
Website: www.hertssteam.org
On the weekend of June 9th and 10th 2012 Herts Steam Engine Preservation Society will be again holding their annual steam rally at Oaklands College (Smallford campus) on the edge of St. Albans. Note that this is a week later than previous years.
The annual rally is now a well established event in the summer calendar of outside events, and will follow on from the success of last year’s event on the new site. Over 30 full size steam engines will be presented in all their glory, in addition to old farm tractors, classic cars and lorries plus other bygones from our rich industrial and agricultural heritage.
For youngsters these steaming monsters provide both entertainment and education, a total contrast with the high-tec era of the new millenium we now live in. However, many of the older generation will remember steam rollers at work, while before the last world war steam wagons regularly pounded through St. Albans carrying long distance loads. Steam threshing was carried out at local farms, while steam tractors were used to carry stone, farm produce and even house contents within the area. Some of these machines are now 100 years old, but have been rebuilt many times and will last forever!
The event will be held in the grounds of Oaklands College, just off the A1057 Hatfield Road, St. Albans, (Approx Satnav code AL4 0XR) and is only three miles from Junction 3 of the A1(M) motorway. There are frequent bus services (routes 300, 301, 724) from Hatfield or St. Albans railway stations which pass the site. Open from 10.00 to 5 p.m. on both days, entry charges have been held unchanged at £6.00 for adults, £3.00 for children, £5 for Seniors or £15.00 for a family ticket. Car parking is included.
A full day's entertainment will be available for everyone. In addition to the old engines and farm equipment there will be stalls, a fairground and refreshments including a licensed bar.
Demonstrations will be set up to show how the old equipment was used in days gone by. A working sawbench, thrashing machine, stone crusher, and other machinery will be at work. Ring events and parades will enable all the mobile exhibits to be moved on the field (if weather conditions allow)

The Cathedral stands over the place where Alban, Britain's first martyr, was buried, and is the oldest site of continuous Christian worship in the country.
It is a building of contrasting architectural styles from the Saxon period through to the great Victorian restoration and a 20th century Chapter house.
At the heart of the building is the candlelit shrine of Saint Alban, a Roman Citizen who was put to death because of his faith in Christ. You can also see stunning and unique wall paintings, a very rare 15th century watching loft and walk the length of England's longest nave.
There are daily FREE guided tours, a book shop, gift shop and the Cafe at the Abbey. For younger visitors there are Children's Explorer Bags and regular family trails - see www.stalbanscathedral.org or visit the Information Desk for more information.
