Great facility and fun class, really switched on coaches, helped me perform the exercises correctly and left me feeling great.


I went along to see what HPC could offer as I was bored of the big gyms and wanted to try something new, I got their leaflet through the door and thought it sounded interesting. I had an initial assessment with Stuart and was really impressed that he could see a lot of the problems/aches and strains I feel on the average day just from looking how I move. The classes are great fun and really work at whole body toning. Both Stuart and Phil are there to help you and give correctional tips to moving. Learning how to foam roll properly is amazing, it takes some much stress out of muscles!


I work around the corner from HPC. I go to classes every Monday and Friday lunchtime. Both Phil and Stuart are great, helping me to personalise my workout and get the most out of the class. I am training for a charity trek of the great wall of China. After doing the london Marathon this year I injured my right knee. The foam rolling and classes have strengthen my knee in a matter of weeks. The improvement is so good I was able to complete a 15km uphill trek in the Pennines last weekend without any pain to my knee. I would have no hesitation in recommending HPC. It so much better than any gym I have ever been too. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly - keep up the good work.


I have been to many gyms in the past, and was keen to try something different and more engaging. Health Performance Centre is certainly that - with Stuart and Phil clearly passionate about you getting the best from yourself in lots of innovative and fun ways.


I too got the free leaflet and I'd tried lots of the other providers of the "get thin quick" brigade ..... and I'm still the size I was!

So time for a change and the actual education bit offered at HPC is just as important for me as the physical exercise...... a very valuable resource for me to start to make positive changes ..... I would recommend the free weight management course!


I started classes at HPC after 2 years struggling with running injuries. The personal programme worked very well and fingers crossed am now running pain free (and quicker) for the first time in ages. New concept to me, really seems to work!

I've just done a Functional Fitness Circuit Class and it was great. It's much more varied (and felt much more effective) than your average gym weight machine circuit and they make sure you do each station's exercise properly for maximum effect. Looking forward to the next class!


Attended the weight management class, and enjoyed it so much, started attending the BMI reduction Class - have lost over a stone so far!

Have joined gyms before and never found them any good for me, since starting to go to HPC, am actually enjoying going to the Gym, dont find it an effort to go each week and actually feel as though I have achieved something at the end of the session. Full marks to Stuart  Phil!


Being a Personal Trainer myself, i am well aware of the poor technique/knowledge applied by many gym users when working without a professional. The concept HPC applies to allow customers an effective, safe and well supervised workout through the application of a huge amount of knowledge and passion that both Phil and Stuart posses, is superb. Allowing customers to meet their individualised goals in a facility that provides a huge array of functional equipment that is not only effective for a huge range of goals but great fun too! Highly recommended!


These guys rally know what they are talkiing about. I had been trying to lose weight and get fit for ages but kept getting injured and giving up. The Weight Management course combined with BMI Reduction classes has enabled me to achieve my goals even whilst carrying a knee injury.

I have attended gyms for many years. I was injured and could not do any of my usual exercise. Phil and Stuart produced a routine I could do and when I was able introduced me to the classes and adapted the exercises whenever needed (often initially). Their classes are fun and very varied and they tailor them to whatever level or needs you have. I can't speak too highly of Phil and Stuart from every aspect of knowledge and skill to dedication and kindness and their encouraging ways. I am almost back to full fitness and in much better general condition than ever. Thank you.


My husband took me to HPC and told me to trust the boys (Phil and Stuart), that they know what they're doing. I really enjoy my running, but had been prone to injuries. Phil and Stuart have worked to together to help my biomechanics. I am now running PBs, and feel fitter and stronger than ever. And I am absolutely loving it. I joined because I have suffered lower back pain for years after gardening or other work. I wanted a class that looked at movement as well as strength, and HPC does exactly that. I'm now fitter, thinner around the middle and back pain all but disappeared. Best value for money fittness sessions around.


I was severely desk-bound before I found HPC. With sciatica, tendinitis and a whole range of aches and pains I thought I was too unfit to ever get fit. Stuart and Phil changed all that with their boot camp and after six months I shed about 2 stone and 20 years. The sessions are varied and encouraging with everyone focused together on their own individual targets. The results are amazing and I dare say near on impossible in a conventional gym. With Stuart and Phil and a little gumption you cannot fail to get significantly fitter in a short space of time.
