The Courtyard Cafe is a little off the beaten track from the St Albans town centre. However it’s worth the few minutes walk. The ambience is perfect, the food choice is spot-on. I had a great sandwich of coronation chicken and my friend has been raving about the chorizo salad. I would have preferred thicker bread but don’t want to mark them down for that.

Beatnik Bazaar
Tucked away from the crowds is little haven of peace and charm. The staff are extremely polite, friendly and efficient and the food of high quality. And in the warmers months it's a delight to sit outside in the courtyard.

Love it! Our favourite cafe in St Albans and feels like the only place that serves 'real' food! - Only drawback is its not open on Sundays and they no longer serve waffles.

Absolutely love this place. Quirky, relaxed, vintage feel with fantastic food. Lovely, not-in-your-face staff who serve you professionally. Sells homemade craftwork and sells books, donating proceedings to charity. Great for a coffee with friends, mums chat, cool place to work too!
