The best local pub in St Albans by a mile, the staff are great, food is very well priced and cooked to order, which is much better than the frozen rubbish you get from some pubs.

I had a fantastic couple of pints of Farmers Joy, which was certainly a joy to drink. What was also a joy was the aberdeen burger and chips. The chips are most definitely hand made and tasted like they were from a chip shop - 5 out of 5. Plus the other bonus was I used my loyalty card to get one of the meals half price.

What a great pub. I came on a visit to St Albans with friends over the weekend to see a band at the Farmers Boy. What a lovely little pub. It’s a shame it’s not a touch bigger as you could have room to dance. The crowd were whooping and really enjoying it. I spoke to the landlady who also truly loves her job and is a great host.

Great pub. I come to Green Drinks every second Tuesday of the month and meet up with like-minded environmetal folk, mainly from Transition St Albans, for a chat. We come here because the beer's good and brewed out the back or sourced locally. Staff are really friendly, see you one Tuesday?

Zero Stars

Think the barmaid has Tourettes - when asked if she was on her own at the pub was extremely busy - husband was asked by her if he was a moron! He responded - with only asking - thought there would be more staff on - to which her reply was "you are a moron" How rude! Don't think we shall be going there again ZERO rating
