George and Gerald aim to redefine the way you think about foraging by bringing the best local food and produce to the warmth and comfort of the Verulam Arms.

At the Foragers, the emphasis is on quality, local produce. Only those that share our passion for the highest quality goods from around the area will make it to the Forager's table so we can feel proud to invite you to enjoy it with us.

We care as much as you do about where our food & drink comes from, the journey it takes to get here and how it is put together.

At the Foragers we are committed to ensuring a dining experience that combines great food & drink with a conscience.

The Verulam Arms - synonymous with simple, honest and flavoursome food & which we look to bring to you all at a reasonable price.

Lovely looking pub but walk in there and you'll start to wonder if you've got 'look at me' written across your forehead. One for the regulars only.

Along with all the other pubs hidden away down the backstreets they always get forgotten about. Which strangely is a good thing. As when you stumble across a gem like this on a pub crawl it’s like seeing an old friend. The beer is kept very well and a great choice to be had. Very friendly atmosphere.

I’ll have an Ale please landlord

I enjoyed a Sunday lunch today at The Ver and it was fantastic great to see the place back open with some great food, ale, and atmosphere.

Had lunch at the Verulam Arms (courtesy of The Foragers) on Saturday (17th Sept) and will be back again as soon as possible. We were made to feel very welcome and treated to great service and even better food (especially the black pudding scotch egg starter which had us all rolling our eyes in joy). The biggest compliment I can give is to say that for the rest of the day I was 'Christmas full'. Such was the quality of the food, I massively overdid it! For the sake of the owners, I wish more people had been in the pub. For my sake, I hope it doesn't get too overrun because the warm, intimate atmosphere felt like a haven from the bustling market up the road. It deserves to succeed. I'll certainly do my bit to help.
